Following the positive impact and successful delivery of the first training session, EUKOJUST held the second one on gender sensitive prison management to Kosovo Correctional Staff in cooperation with Chiara Tagliani EULEX Gender Advisor and Christina Malmgren, EULEX Correctional Monitor, as co-trainers.
The second session included the participation of Director of the Lipjan Correctional Centre, the senior management, and correctional officers. It follows the EUKOJUST Assessment on Access to Justice for female inmates and detainees conducted between January and March 2022 at the Female Correctional Centre (FCC) of Lipjan/Lipljan and introduced the Correctional Staff to the United Nations Rules for the Treatment of Women Prisoners and Non-Custodial Measures for Women Offenders (the Bangkok Rules) including other international standards and norms.
The training was organized and chaired by EUKOJUST Expert on Access to Justice, Alina Matache and the EUKOJUST Short Term Expert on Training Correctional Staff, Alban Muriqi.
